The reaction tank is a critical element of our slurry treatment process. Achieving desirable results
consistently is our aim, both in terms of treatment and also chemical use. The goal is to use as little
chemical as possible, but still maintain the required treatment levels. To this end we recently
commissioned Watermark Projects to install a number of upgrades to the tank, including automatic
pH control; additional impellers on the mixers and a new mixer in the outlet chamber to keep things
nice and homogenised prior to separation in the decanter centrifuge. We are still in the very early
stages of trialling the effects these changes have had, but initial outcomes look very promising with
increased chemical efficiency and throughput.
We will keep you updated as we continue to fine-tune the overall treatment process, in the
meantime, please get in touch if you would like any further information.
